The Service of Commissioning of Volker and JinHyeog Glissman 27th June 2010

article thumbnail                            The Glissmann family, representatives of Dromore Presbytery and BMO   On Sunday 27th June 2010, at Harmony Hill Presbyterian Church, Volker & JinHyeog Glissmann were commissioned by the Presbytery Of Dromore for missionary service in Malawi under the auspices of the Board of Mission Overseas. Rev Uel Mairs (Director BMO) presented the candidates, Rev John Brakenridge (Moderator of Dromore Presbytery) read the declaration and asked the questions to the candidates and Rev David Knox conducted the Charge section of the service. Licensing of Helen Freeburn

article thumbnailThe licensing service for Mrs Helen Freeburn took place in Lucan Presbyterian Church, Co Dublin on the evening of Sunday 6 June 2010. A large congregation was present, including many of Helen’s family and friends from both Lucan and Harmony Hill. All present were heartily welcomed to Lucan by the Minister, Very Rev. Dr Trevor Morrow. The service was carried out under the authority of the Dublin and Munster Presbytery with the proceedings ably controlled by the Moderator, Rev John Woodside, Minister of Drogheda Presbyterian Church. Questions were put to the probationer, Helen, who responded by subscribing to the Westminster Confession of Faith. The address to Helen was given by Dr Morrow, leaving her in no doubt that, as a new licentiate and future minister, she was being called by God ‘to make disciples’. The address was followed by a reception, with speeches from Mrs Vivian Murtagh, a friend of Helen’s from Lucan, Rev. David Knox from Harmony Hill and Rev....

1st Harmony Hill Rainbows

article thumbnail1st Harmony Hill Rainbows is for girls aged 4 - 7 years. They meet on Thursday evenings from 6.30 - 7.30 pm in Harmony Hill church hall. The leader is Eleanor Smylie and the Assistant Leaders are: Lynne Smylie, Elizabeth Brown, Elsebeth Sayers and Melissa Harris. The photograph of the Rainbows was taken when they had a talk from a representative from "Kids Alive" which is a christian charity which helps kids in developing countries.who are suffering mainly as a result of the Aids epidemic  The Rainbows are collecting money to donate to the charity.
